Dennis has 20 years of financial and operational experience working with early stage companies focused on manufacturing, technology, transportation and SaaS. He has extensive experience establishing, restructuring, and leading finance and accounting operations, primarily in companies with annual revenues from $3 million to $25 million. His areas of expertise include implementing accounting solutions, building financial models, establishing key performance metrics, and delivering insightful analysis.

Prior to joining the Outside CFO team, Dennis founded MyNumbersGuy LLC, a boutique CFO practice focusing on early stage start-ups in New Haven and New York City. During his tenure Dennis successfully guided his clients through periods of high-growth, managed external audits, supervised due diligence, and served as the Finance point person for several M&A transactions ranging from $40 million to $100 million.

Before starting his own practice, Dennis was the CFO at Community Connect Inc., a niche social networking Company acquired in 2008 by Radio One Inc. for $44 million. In addition to managing the Finance function, Dennis was responsible for overseeing the Legal, Human Resources, and Information Systems teams. Prior to Community Connect, Dennis was the Controller at health start-up Medsite, and a financial planning analyst at IBM.

Dennis holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut, is a CPA, and has passed two levels of the CFA exam.

Dennis splits his time between New Haven and New York City, and is fond of saying he lives out of his 2008 Honda Accord. When he isn’t working, Dennis serves as the private chauffeur for his teenage daughter. He enjoys following sports, and is a long suffering Mets fan.
